What is an Archviz artist?
A 3D visualization artist works with architects, designers, builders, and engineers to create accurate digital representations of proposed structures—buildings, landscapes, or interior spaces—before it is built.
Architectural visualization has quickly become an invaluable tool for the many outfits that make up the residential and commercial building industry. The unique skillset of a visualization artist is now regularly required by architects, interior designers, engineers, developers, builders, landscape designers, and real estate professionals to help showcase their work to potential clients.

John embarked on his journey into 3D visualization as an artist back in 2004 when he started designing 3D golf courses for a video game company. His work culminated in the launch of a popular golf game in late 2005, showcasing his talent and passion for creating immersive digital environments.

Building on this success, John expanded his repertoire by recreating some of the world's most beautiful real 18-hole golf courses in 3D. As a sought-after contractor, he collaborated with numerous 3D golf simulator companies, bringing virtual versions of renowned golf courses to life for their 3D Golf Simulators.

John's expertise and creativity didn't go unnoticed. He was later approached by a golf cart company in Dubai, where his skills were harnessed to enhance the visualization experience for golfers using commercial GPS-equipped golf carts. In this role, John meticulously recreated real golf courses in 3D using world data like Lidar, aligning them with the precision required for navigation and visual delight on the golf cart's tablet interface.

Through his journey from video games to high-end golf cart technology, John's dedication to 3D visualization and his ability to blend artistry with technical precision have made him a valuable asset in the world of virtual landscapes and architectaul buildings.

John now resides in Victoria, BC, Canada, and has a small studio and offers his services for architects and designers who need 3d visualization.
